Rainbow

Rainbow is a member of the DNAgents, a team of artificially created genetic constructs engineered by the Matrix Corporation. She operates alongside teammates Amber, Tank, Sham, and Surge within the Eclipse Comics universe.

Born from the creative partnership of Mark Evanier and Will Meugniot, Rainbow made her debut in The DNAgents #7 in 1983, arriving during the Bronze Age through Eclipse Comics — one of the most adventurous independent publishers of the era. She's a fixture across the DNAgents corner of the Eclipse universe, appearing in The DNAgents, The New DNAgents, and Surge over a span of nearly fourteen years, sharing pages with characters like Amber, Tank, Sham, and Surge. With a key issue among her appearances and a run that stretches well into the '90s, Rainbow is a genuine piece of independent comics history — the kind of character that reminds collectors just how rich and bold the non-Big-Two landscape could be.
