Looter
Norton G. Fester became the Looter after a meteorite he was studying granted him superhuman abilities, leading him into a life of crime and repeated clashes with Spider-Man. He has since cycled through various criminal and reform organizations.
Born from the legendary creative partnership of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man #36 (1966), the Looter is a genuine Silver Age Marvel artifact — the kind of colorful, committed villain that defined an era when comics were crackling with invention. Over nearly six decades of publication, this persistent antagonist has carved out a niche in Spider-Man's rogues' gallery, turning up across The Amazing Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man, and the fan-favorite Superior Foes of Spider-Man, sharing panels with the likes of Spider-Man himself and the formidable Doctor Octopus. With 31 catalog appearances and two collector-recognized key issues to his name, the Looter is exactly the kind of deep-cut character that rewards the dedicated Spider-fan — a Silver Age original still making mischief well into the 2020s.
