Hook
Hook is a Decepticon from Marvel's Transformers comics who transforms into a construction crane. A member of the Constructicons, he combines with his fellow construction vehicles to form the massive gestalt warrior Devastator.
Forged in the Bronze Age of Marvel Comics, Hook made his debut in The Transformers #10 in 1985, the creation of writer Bob Budiansky and artist Ricardo Villamonte β part of the foundational wave of characters that helped define one of the most beloved franchises in comics history. Sharing pages with heavy hitters like Optimus Prime, Soundwave, and Scrapper across titles including G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers and G.I. Joe and the Transformers, Hook has kept genuinely iconic company throughout a catalog presence that stretches an impressive four decades. It's a testament to the enduring pull of this universe that characters introduced in those earliest Marvel issues are still turning up in comics today, and Hook is a fine example of that staying power β a piece of Transformers history worth tracking down for any serious collector of the era.
