The crossover conflict between two of pop culture's most beloved franchises heats up in issue #3, with cover art by Mark Brooks (inks by Clayton Brown) capturing a chaotic battlefield scene — a yellow Autobot bearing the Decepticon insignia squares off against a muscular, red-haired human combatant in the foreground, while black-clad ninja figures rappel and leap from a dark helicopter overhead. It's a wonderfully frenetic composition that neatly captures the anything-goes energy of G.I. Joe soldiers and Transformers colliding on the same turf. Writer Josh Blaylock, artist Mike S. Miller, and inker Cory Hamscher deliver what promises to be one of 2003's most entertaining team-versus-team showdowns.
