Highbrow
Highbrow is an Autobot Headmaster — a Transformer whose head detaches to become a small humanoid pilot called a Nebulan, who bonds with the larger robot body to grant enhanced capabilities. He serves as one of the Autobots' more intellectual warriors.
Debuting in the landmark The Transformers: Headmasters #1 in 1987, Highbrow is a Copper Age creation from Marvel's bold expansion of the Transformers universe, brought to life by writer Bob Budiansky and artist Frank Springer. Over a publishing history that stretches an impressive 38 years, this character has kept extraordinary company — sharing pages with heavy hitters like Optimus Prime, Hot Rod, and the fearsome Scorponok — placing Highbrow squarely at the heart of some of the most exciting corners of Transformers lore. Whether you're a longtime collector or just diving into Marvel's rich Transformers catalog, Highbrow is one of those characters whose debut in a key series makes them a genuine piece of comics history worth tracking down.
