Towering over a cityscape in samurai-inspired armor, the menacing Bludgeon dominates this December 1989 Marvel cover — sword in hand and clearly not inclined to share the spotlight. Behind him, the cover promises the return of fan-favorite Autobots Jazz, Grimlock, and Bumblebee as the Classic Pretenders, though the ominous caption "But Not For Long!" suggests their reunion won't be a peaceful one. With cover pencils by José Delbo and inks by Danny Bulanadi, "Yesterday's Heroes!" looks like a compelling clash between old friends and a formidable new threat.
