The Little Stooges
Western · 1972–1974 · 7 issues
About the series
From 1972 to 1974, Western Publishing gave the Three Stooges a pint-sized twist with The Little Stooges, a short-lived seven-issue series imagining the iconic comedy trio as mischievous children. Scripted and drawn primarily by longtime Stooge associate Norman Maurer—often alongside his son Jeff—the comic captured the slapstick spirit of the original act in a kid-friendly, all-ages format. It stands as a curious, family-oriented footnote in the Stooges' vast multimedia legacy, offering a playful reimagining that never quite matched the anarchic energy of the classic shorts.
