Dell Comics gave Daffy Duck his own solo title from 1956 to 1959, a 14-issue run that paired the iconic, lisping trickster with frequent foil Elmer Fudd and occasional co-stars like Yosemite Sam and Little Pancho Vanilla. Anchored by the cartoon-inspired writing of Michael Maltese and the clean, expressive art of Phil De Lara and Tony Strobl, the series brought classic Warner Bros. slapstick to the comics page.
