“Apples to Applesauce”

Daffy Duck tackles domestic duty on this cheerful 1957 Dell cover, sporting a pink ruffled apron and blue cap as he wields a mop and scrub brush against a very wet floor — with a water bucket nearby to complete the scene. Tony Strobl's cover pencils give the wisecracking waterfowl an endearingly put-upon energy, somehow making mopping look like the most entertaining chore imaginable. Inside, Phil De Lara brings the artwork to the aptly titled story "Apples to Applesauce," making this a delightful ten-cent package of Looney Tunes fun.
