But without Daffy’s voice to guide him, Elmer quickly finds himself in a series of increasingly absurd mishaps: he misplaces his water, loses his flashlight, and narrowly dodges a train while trying to pitch their tent on the tracks in the dark.
In "Stovepipe Stargazer," Daffy’s dream of stargazing hits a roadblock when he’s 50 cents short of a telescope. He tries hawking junk from the lake floor to Yosemite Sam, then builds a makeshift telescope from a tripod and stovepipe—only to trick Sam into paying for a fake sky. When Sam sees through the scam, the tables turn in a way that’s equal parts slapstick and starry-eyed.
In "Prehistoric Hospitality," Daffy and Elmer stumble upon a hidden mesa teeming with prehistoric men—complete with a winch, hook, and rope—while on a mountain climb, where they quickly find themselves in over their heads among ancient oddities and a surprisingly active dinosaur.
