About the series
In the aftermath of a devastating economic collapse, Blackacre is a gated, self-sufficient American utopia—but only for the wealthy elite who can afford its walls. Outside, the rest of the population struggles to survive in a lawless wasteland, until a desperate father and former soldier, Jack Harper, is hired to infiltrate the community and retrieve a mysterious package. This 11-issue Image Comics series from 2012–2013, written by Duffy Boudreau, is a gritty, dystopian thriller that examines class division and the cost of security with a noir sensibility.
