Blackacre continues its bleak, dystopian vision with this fifth issue from Image, featuring a cover by Brian Churilla that pulls no punches. A hooded, cloaked figure grips a bloodied knife while a wounded, dazed man slumps beneath them — the sickly yellow-green palette making the scene feel all the more unsettling. With Duffy Boudreau writing and Wendell Cavalcanti on interior art, this 2013 series proves it isn't shying away from the brutal stakes of its world.
