Churilla's cover art frames that eerie threshold beautifully, the twisted branches and roots closing in like a living door around this quiet, charged moment. With Boudreau, Cavalcanti, Deering, and Farela on the creative team, Blackacre continued to be one of Image's more intriguingly atmospheric series in 2013.
