The X-Club are sent to investigate Bastion's oil rig off the coast of San Francisco, but the team instead finds themselves in a future where the X-Men beat Bastion and Hope's powers are quickly consuming the world. Their only chance appears to be for Dr. Rao to recreate her mutant "curing" Hope virus and administer it to the core of Hope herself. But, things aren't always what they seem.
