X-Men: Prelude to Onslaught #[nn]
In "Bishop to King's Five," Larry Hama and Adam Kubert deliver a tense, visceral chapter of the X-Men: Prelude to Onslaught saga, as Genesis manipulates Cyber’s adamantium in a twisted bid to forge a new Horseman of Death from Wolverine. With the Dark Riders closing in and Wolverine’s mind fractured by the procedure, the only thing standing between him and total transformation is a desperate fight—and a surprising alliance with Cannonball. The cover by Andy Kubert and Cam Smith captures the raw intensity of the moment, while Dan Green’s inks and Joe Rosas’s colors heighten the grim, high-stakes atmosphere.

Genesis attempts to bond Cyber's adamantium to Wolverine's bones and turn him into a new horseman of death for the soon to be resurrected Apocalypse. Wolvie resists and with a little help from Cannonball takes out Tyler and the Dark Riders, most of whom die in the process. Wolvie is free, still adamantium-less but has changed into a bestial creature with a childlike intellect and a surly disposition.
