“The Infernal Gallop”

In "The Infernal Gallop," Warren Ellis and Ken Lashley launch a high-stakes mystery in X-Calibre #1, where Switchback is brought to the mystical realm of Avalon by Mystique. With Nightcrawler seeking help from Angel to locate his mother and Magneto pushing for answers, Destiny’s ominous vision of Avalon’s end sets a dangerous chain of events in motion—just as Moonstar’s betrayal draws Apocalypse’s agents into the fray. The cover by Carlos Pacheco and Cam Smith captures the story’s tense, otherworldly tone.
