Sgt. Lee Forest, nick-named 'Yellow Eyes' by the other members of his platoon, is a giant of a man, with an almost cat-like way of moving. Serving in Africa during World War II, his life is saved by another member of the platoon. Both men go their separate ways after the war, though both remain in Africa. When his savior is attacked by a lion, Forest emerges from the jungle and calls it off. His debt repayed, 'Yellow Eyes' returns to his true home - the depths of the jungle.
