“The Slip Up”

In "The Slip Up," Archie’s latest prank takes an unexpected turn when Mr. Weatherbee seizes his handheld video game and dumps it in a decades-old bin of forgotten tech. What follows is a mix-up with Mrs. Sanchez and a surprise collector’s show that lands the school a surprising windfall—leaving Weatherbee both baffled and begrudgingly grateful. Written by George Gladir and illustrated by Fernando Ruiz, with inks by Bob Smith, the story unfolds with the familiar charm of Riverdale’s quirky school life, all capped by Dan Parent’s playful cover.

Mr. Weatherbee confiscates a hand-held video game from Archie, and tosses it into a bin of such items going back 20 years. He's deeply frustrated trying to get $8000 more from the school board for new student computers. While Weatherbee is busy, Mrs. Sanchez mistakes the video games as offerings for the school collectors' show. A visitor pays the school fifteen thousand dollars for the games, and Mr. Weatherbee gives Archie two days off.
