In "Chemical Reaction," Archie finds himself frustrated by his and Veronica’s conflicting school schedules, leaving him longing for time together. Jughead steps in with a clever idea—using a walkie-talkie to stay in touch—only for Reggie to overhear and sneakily hijack the device. Written by George Gladir and illustrated by Bill Vigoda, with colors by Barry Grossman and letters by Bill Yoshida, this 1968 issue captures the classic charm of small-town teen life, where even a simple radio can spark a whole new kind of mischief. In "Given the Business," Jughead’s carefree days at the Chocklit Shoppe take a turn when Pop Tate casually mentions he’ll hand over the shop to him someday. Suddenly, a string of bizarre mishaps—ranging from mysteriously sticky floors to a runaway ice cream machine—has Pop wondering if Jughead’s enthusiasm for the business might be a little too… enthusiastic.
In "Over and Out," Archie worries he and Veronica can't spend time together due to conflicting schedules, until Jughead suggests they stay in touch with a walkie-talkie. Reggie overhears the plan and decides to interfere—just as the two begin their first call.
