The issue was written and edited by Denny O'Neil — who also contributed an editorial column inside the issue itself — with interior art fully penciled and inked by Dick Giordano, and a cover by Jeff Jones, who had previously contributed one other cover to the series. The publication landed during the final stretch of O'Neil's tenure as editor; within a few issues he would hand the reins to Robert Kanigher, who immediately reversed course and restored Diana's powers and classic costume. The reprinted backup — 'Mer-Boy vs. Bird-Boy!' — was scripted by Robert Kanigher with art by Ross Andru and Mike Esposito, reprinted from Wonder Woman #144.
