“Wolverine Goes To Hell Part 5”

In "Wolverine Goes To Hell Part 5," Logan faces his father Thomas in the depths of Hell, where a shocking moment of paternal pride clashes with a brutal refusal to rule the underworld. As Wolverine begins his climb back to the living world, a desperate spell from Hellstorm pulls him into a body already overrun by demons. Written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Renato Guedes, with inks by Jose Wilson Magalhaes and colors by Matthew Wilson, the issue's cover by Jae Lee captures the grim intensity of the moment.

In Hell, Logan is confronted by his father, Thomas Logan, who tells him that he has orchestrated this entire infernal scenario so that he could finally tell his son that he is proud of him for making the Logan name one to be feared and respected. Daddy isn't quite as pleased with his boy, however, when Wolverine refuses to become the new ruler of Hell. As Wolverine begins the long ascent out of Hell, Hellstorm performs a spell that pulls him back into his mortal body--a body that is, unfortunately, already possessed by a horde of demons.
