Meanwhile, Lady Deathstrike closes in on a trail, and Sabretooth rises from the river, ready to renew his long-standing hunt. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Marc Silvestri and Dan Green, with colors by Steve Buccellato and letters by Pat Brosseau, this 1991 issue features a cover by Marc Silvestri that captures the storm-lit tension of a city on edge.

Fury drops Wolverine off on the streets of New York. Albert, carrying Elsie's head, runs into Masque in the storm drains and demands he show him where to get electricity. At the zoo in Central Park Wolverine runs up against Linus Dorfman, a sadistic psychopath who has killed the real zoo keeper, and has been abusing the animals. Elsewhere, Lady Deathstrike thinks she's got a lead on Wolverine. Sabretooth rises up out of the river to renew his search for Wolverine as well.
