Weird Love #4
In "Forsaking All Others," Betty’s quiet contentment with her marriage to Ray is tested when his aging parents move in, stirring unease she masks with polite detachment. As she subtly makes their stay difficult, Ray faces a hard choice—until a shift in heart leads Betty to invite them back, not out of obligation, but something deeper. With emotionally charged storytelling and expressive art by Pete Morisi, this poignant issue explores the quiet tensions and unexpected tenderness in long-term love. The cover, by Ogden Whitney, captures the story’s intimate mood.

Betty is happy in her marriage to Ray, but is upset when he says his elderly and ill parents must come to live with them. She feels they'll intrude on her life with her husband. Betty is "always polite" but goes out of her way to make the older couple "uncomfortable and unhappy." Ray's parents decide to return to their home, although Ray will have to hire a nurse to help care for them. Betty has a change of heart and invites the couple to return to live with them.
