“Apart”

Collecting the 1995 limited series into a single volume, Venom: Separation Anxiety brings Howard Mackie and Ron Randall's dark, visceral tale together under one sleek black cover. That cover — penciled by Randall and inked by Sam de la Rosa — says it all: a snarling, monstrous Venom looms large, his massive clawed hands gripping a terrified figure whose face is twisted in pure horror, the symbiote's white spider emblem stark against the jet-black suit. If you're drawn to Venom at his most menacing and unrestrained, this collected edition is a compelling way to experience "Apart" from start to finish.

The five symbiotes from the Life Foundation try to convince Eddie to help them control their "Others". Eddie refuses, but without his own symbiote, he is powerless to prevent himself being locked up. In the meantime, Eddie's Venom symbiote escapes from its own incarceration and starts to make its way back to Eddie.
