Uncanny X-Men #33

Two lone figures — a dark-haired woman and an armored blonde — stand with their backs to us, facing down a wall of snarling monsters that towers over them: a tusked behemoth at center, flanked by a rocky brute, a wild-maned beast, a pale wolf-creature, a dinosaur, and a mechanical horror. Kris Anka's cover for this 2015 Marvel issue sells the odds in an instant — outnumbered, outmassed, and apparently unbothered. It's the kind of image that makes you want to flip the page immediately.
