Gog
Gog is a massive alien creature who arrived on Earth and was encountered by Spider-Man. Originally brought to the attention of the Kingpin, the giant beast became a dangerous pawn in criminal schemes, using his enormous size and strength as a weapon against Marvel's wall-crawler.
Bursting onto the scene in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man #103 in 1971, Gog is a Bronze Age Marvel creation from the legendary team of Roy Thomas and Gil Kane β a character whose very debut signals the wild, imaginative energy that defined that era of comics. Over more than five decades, this figure has kept some seriously heavy company, sharing pages with Peter Parker, Spider-Man, and even the imposing Kingpin himself, Wilson Fisk, alongside the likes of Fred Myers. Appearing across Amazing Spider-Man and Astonishing Tales, Gog may not clock the highest issue count, but that debut alone β in one of Marvel's flagship titles at the height of its creative golden run β makes this a name worth knowing for any serious Bronze Age enthusiast.
