Ultimate Spider-Man #92

Part two of the "Deadpool" arc finds Spider-Man in serious trouble, as this Mark Bagley cover depicts the wall-crawler being manhandled by a large, powerfully built figure while two additional adversaries — one in a dark costume with gold accents and red boots, another in a tactical outfit with a visor — close in from either side. The composition crackles with kinetic energy, selling the sense that Peter Parker is badly outnumbered. Brian Michael Bendis and Bagley were deep into one of their longest collaborative runs in 2006, and this issue promises exactly the kind of escalating tension that made Ultimate Spider-Man such a compelling read.
