“The Death of Dracula!”

Few comics from 1975 dared to promise "The Final Death of Dracula!" right on the cover — and this one does exactly that. Gene Colan and Tom Palmer's cover depicts a powerful, yellow-skinned figure delivering a savage blow to a reeling, red-caped Dracula on a cobblestone street, while a mysterious cloaked figure watches from the background and a caption urges the attacker to "slay the vampire!" The combination of Marv Wolfman's storytelling with Colan and Palmer's moody, dynamic artwork made Tomb of Dracula comicdom's top fear magazine for good reason, and this issue's audacious cover promises one of the series' most dramatic confrontations yet.
