Tomb of Dracula #14

This November 1973 Marvel chiller delivers one of the most dramatically charged covers of the series, with Gil Kane's pencils and Frank Giacoia's inks placing a caped, snarling Dracula atop a burning stake as he clutches a limp blonde woman — all while an angry mob armed with torches, a pitchfork, and a cross closes in below. The cover's chilling speech balloon — "You're doomed, Dracula! We brought you back to life — only so that we could kill you again!" — sets a wonderfully sinister trap that promises high gothic stakes inside. Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan's collaboration was consistently one of Marvel's most atmospheric horror efforts in 1973, and this issue's cover art alone makes it easy to see why the series captivated readers month after month.
