Part of Marvel's 2015 Secret Wars Battleworld event, this third issue of Thors puts a sneering, chain-bound figure in a knit cap front and center — flanked by two imposing Thor variants, one in full winged helmet and armor, the other bare-armed and intense — hinting at a tense confrontation among Battleworld's hammer-wielding police force. The cover by Chris Sprouse and Karl Story balances that scrappy, disheveled prisoner against the sheer physical authority of the Thors surrounding him, making for a genuinely compelling image. Jason Aaron and artists Chris Sprouse and Goran Sudžuka bring "The Thunder Room" to life in what looks to be a charged, hard-boiled chapter of this unique cosmic procedural.
