Thor by Walter Simonson #4
In "Thor Croaks," Walter Simonson delivers a mythic tale where Thor, having discovered the Balder in Asgard is a deception, follows a lead from an old woman to a mysterious floating castle—same location where the real Balder once bravely rescued three damsels from a troll, only to fall under their spell. With Sal Buscema's dynamic art and Max Scheele's rich coloring bringing the Asgardian realm to life, this issue blends ancient mystery with the weight of forgotten heroes. Cover by Walter Simonson.

Finding the Balder in Asgard to be false (which is a good thing since Kurse killed him), Thor sets out to find the real deal. Balder, in the recent past, stormed a floating castle to save a trio of damsels from a troll, only to be put under their spell for his troubles. In the here and now, Thor is pointed to the same castle by an old woman.
