A battered, bare-chested warrior — wounds visible across his torso — stands crucified against a massive wooden cross while a writhing mass of crimson, fang-filled creatures claws at him from every side, all set against a blazing red inferno. It's a genuinely striking cover from Pascual Ferry that captures the brutal stakes of "The World Eaters" arc at its midpoint. Matt Fraction's run on Thor was delivering some of the most visually ambitious Asgardian storytelling of 2011, and this issue looks like no exception.
