“The Five Lights Part Four”

Part four of Matt Fraction's "The Five Lights" arc arrives in this 2010 Marvel issue, with a cover by Terry and Rachel Dodson that places Emma Frost front and center in her signature white ensemble, flanked by a steely-eyed Wolverine looming in the background and a young woman in a green-and-black suit surging forward with unmistakable urgency. The contrast between Emma's cool composure and the younger figure's intensity gives the composition a real sense of generational tension — two very different X-Men sharing the same frame. Whilce Portacio and Harvey Tolibao handle interior art duties, making this a strong creative package from one of the X-Men's most ambitious 2010 storylines.

The X-Men continue to investigate five potential new mutants to appear since M-Day. The fourth of these "lights" is Teon whose animal instincts have helped him elude capture from Kiev to Miami Beach. Meanwhile, Emma Frost recruits Fantomex and Shadowcat to help her dispose of her dirty little secret -- Sebastian Shaw!
