Ben Grimm looks every bit the neighborhood defender here, with the Thing pinning a tattooed, sword-wielding thug flat to the pavement while Spider-Man swings in upside-down from above and a startled blonde woman recoils in the background. The cover by Andrea DiVito crackles with kinetic energy — all those rocky orange plates rendered in loving detail as Benjy does what he does best, keeping the streets safe one creep at a time. Dan Slott and Kieron Dwyer's 2006 run continues to make a strong case that the Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing deserves his own corner of the Marvel Universe.
