“Dis Man , Dis Monster, Disarmed!”

The cover by Andrea DiVito sends Ben Grimm crashing through a crumbling classical Greek temple as he squares off against a long-haired, green-clad warrior wielding what looks like a golden weapon — dust and debris flying in every direction. Adding a wonderfully clever touch, an ancient Greek amphora in the foreground depicts the same brawl rendered in traditional black-figure pottery style, while a bearded elder watches the chaos unfold from below. Dan Slott and Kieron Dwyer's 2006 solo series continues to find fresh, inventive settings for the ever-lovable Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing.
