“Blind Vengeance”

In "Blind Vengeance," Conan joins four fellow mercenaries in a desperate stand against the brutal warlord Wonangus, who demands tribute from a struggling village. With the harvest season ending and winter approaching, the villagers’ survival hinges on their ability to resist the coming siege—and the mercenaries, now bound by honor, must fight for a cause not their own. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Gary Kwapisz, with inks by Ernie Chan and letters by Diana Albers, the issue features a striking cover by Joe Jusko.

Fleeing south from a lost battle, the four mercenaries are welcomed by a village. The village labors all summer to grow enough grain to feed the warlord, Wonangus, and his troops when they quarter with them for the winter. Conan and his fellows agree to repel Wonangus and free the village.
