The Cimmerian's intense, battle-hardened glare makes it clear whatever conflict preceded this moment was neither quick nor clean. With Don Kraar's story "Blood and Honor" inside, illustrated by Val Mayerik, this is a fine example of the magazine's mature, sword-and-sorcery storytelling at its peak.
