The Savage Sword of Conan #143
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeJoe Jusko's painted cover for this December 1987 Marvel magazine issue is a striking portrait of power — a muscular, horned-helmeted Conan grips a blood-slicked sword while dark birds of prey circle ominously through a stormy sky behind him. The Cimmerian's intense, battle-hardened glare makes it clear whatever conflict preceded this moment was neither quick nor clean. With Don Kraar's story "Blood and Honor" inside, illustrated by Val Mayerik, this is a fine example of the magazine's mature, sword-and-sorcery storytelling at its peak.
