The Ghost Rider #4
In "And Men Shall Call Him Sting-Ray!", the Ghost Rider faces off against the elusive Sting-Ray—also known as the Scorpion—at a ranch dance, where the villain steals funds meant for the local school and leaves a trail of paralysis in his wake. With the Sheriff and his posse turning on the Ghost Rider, suspicion spreads through the town, but the real danger hides in plain sight—right in the local druggist’s shop. Written by Gary Friedrich and brought to life with bold, gritty art by Dick Ayers and Vince Colletta, this 1967 Marvel classic delivers a tense, twisty showdown where loyalty is tested and the line between hero and outlaw blurs. Cover by Dick Ayers and Vince Colletta.

The Sting-Ray (a.k.a. Scorpion) paralyzes Sheriff Brooks and Clay Riley and takes the money raised for the local school at a dance at Carter Slade's ranch. The Ghost Rider tries to catch him but is stopped by the Sheriff and his posse. The next day the Sheriff meets with local businessmen and decides to go after the Ghost Rider again. Unfortunately, the local druggist is really the Sting-Ray and uses the opportunity to kidnap Natalie. The Ghost Rider rescues her but is almost shot by the Sheriff when leaving. The Tarantula stops him and pretends that he is working with the Night Rider.
