The Fury of Firestorm #11
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of issue #11 says it all: Firestorm, his nuclear flame blazing, is caught in a harrowing mid-air assault high above a city skyline by not one but two savage Hyena creatures, their fanged jaws wide and claws slashing. Pat Broderick and Dick Giordano render the chaos with tremendous kinetic energy, the tangle of bodies and crackling energy bolts giving the whole scene a genuine sense of desperation. Gerry Conway and Pat Broderick were clearly swinging for the fences with this 1983 issue, and that cover tagline — "Two Hyenas Are Deadlier Than One!" — delivers on its promise before you've even cracked the spine.
