“Yesterday Never Dies!”

The non-team charges headlong into an otherworldly nightmare in this February 1982 issue, with Doctor Strange, the Beast, and their fellow Defenders surging against a horde of green demons swarming across a dimensional landscape — while a glowing pink figure blazes at the center of the chaos. A desperate speech bubble urges the team to save someone's wife from those very demons, and guest stars Wonder Man and the Beast add even more muscle to the fray, all rendered in Al Milgrom's energetic linework. It's a wonderfully chaotic cover that captures everything fun about Marvel's "non-team" at full throttle.
