The Chronicles of Kull #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis second volume of Dark Horse's comprehensive Kull reprint series collects issues #6-10 of the 2009-2010 Kull series, along with additional material. The stories delve into Kull's early adventures as a barbarian king, including the title tale 'The Hell Beneath Atlantis,' which pits him against ancient horrors beneath his throne. The collection also features adaptations of Robert E. Howard's original stories, with art by Tomás Giorello and Richard Corben, among others.
In "Swords of the White Queen!", Kull and his men are locked in a deadly chase against the cunning wizard Khornah, whose mystic gemstone summons the fearsome crystal warrior Shemenon. With the odds stacked against them, Kull's fate hangs in the balance until an old enemy, the sorcerer Sarna, emerges from the shadows—his vengeance for a past defeat now looming. Written by Doug Moench and brought to life by Ed Hannigan’s bold artwork, with inks by Alfredo Alcala and colors by Don Warfield, this issue deepens Kull’s mythos with a tale of ancient grudges and a journey toward Hell itself. The cover, a striking piece by Mike Ploog, captures the clash of steel and sorcery in vivid detail.
