Known for his detailed, expressive linework and darkly whimsical sensibilities, Sutton's work here showcases his talent for blending grotesque imagery with a touch of black humor. The collection spotlights a key but sometimes overlooked artist from the bronze age of horror comics.
"Terrible Teddy" delivers a chilling twist on the power of creation, where a writer’s nightmares take form—but their existence hinges on a single, fragile line of paper. Written by Joe Gill and brought to life with haunting precision by Tom Sutton—whose art, inks, and lettering all bear his unmistakable hand—this story explores the cost of bringing the macabre to life. The cover by Tom Sutton perfectly captures the eerie, hands-on dread of the tale, making this a standout in the archives of horror comics.
