Charlton's Baron Weirwulf's Haunted Library delivers another round of supernatural dread with this September 1977 installment, and the cover by Alfredo de Elías sets the mood perfectly. A skull-faced figure in a red jacket menaces a terrified victim across three panel-style vignettes — looming large against a full moon, stalking through a shadowy alley, and delivering an icy threat ("One peep out of you and you're dead!") while the poor soul stammers in sheer terror. Inside, Tom Sutton handles the writing, art, inking, and lettering solo on "The Skull," making this a showcase for one of horror comics' most committed craftsmen.
