The Suicide Squad — billed here as Task Force X — returns "by popular request" in this September 1961 issue of The Brave and the Bold, promising a top-secret new mission titled "Threat of the Giant Eye!" The cover by Ross Andru and Mike Esposito makes that threat vivid and unsettling: a massive, leering face with a glowing green eye looms over the Squad's members, who scramble and fight across a rocky landscape in their distinctive blue and green uniforms while a blonde woman in black looks on.
