“Mine Is the Power!”

In "Mine Is the Power!", the gods of Olympus have disappeared, leaving Hercules to face the monstrous Typhon alone—while back on Earth, Magneto takes Wanda and Pietro to the U.N., demanding a homeland for mutants. Hawkeye, Goliath, and the Wasp intervene, but not before Wanda is injured. As Typhon claims Zeus’s throne and banishes Hercules to an unknown realm, the fate of both realms hangs in the balance. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by John Buscema, with cover art by John Buscema, this 1968 Marvel classic blends mythic scale with the emerging mutant crisis.
