The cover by Jason Pearson says it all — Spider-Man swings through an open sky while simultaneously rescuing a young blonde kid dangling from a chain swing, web-lines trailing behind them both in a wonderfully kinetic composition. It's an endearingly human moment, the kind of street-level heroism that J. Michael Straczynski's run did so well, brought to life here by the interior team of John Romita Jr. and Scott Hanna. With a story titled "You Want Pants With That?", issue #502 promises exactly the blend of humor and heart that made this era of Amazing Spider-Man so satisfying.
