“The Incredible Cat-Caper!”

In "The Incredible Cat-Caper!", Little Archie finds himself in the middle of a tropical storm, stranded on the Isle of Palms with his father—just as a mysterious prophecy from Mad Madam Doom foretold. With Mad Doctor Doom already plotting his next scheme, Little Archie must dodge a surfboard-wielding Slurch, a giant barracuda named Big Barry, and a whole lot of unexpected chaos, all while staying one step ahead of a villain who’s clearly been planning this moment for a long time. Written and illustrated by Bob Bolling, with a delightfully zany cover by Dexter Taylor, this 1965 classic blends seaside adventure with classic Archie whimsy.

Mad Doctor Doom's relative, the witch Mad Madam Doom, foretells that his next meeting with Little Archie will be in the tropics, and that his red-haired nemesis will be surfing. Sure enough, a tropical storm strands the "Pride of Walvis Bay" outside Isle of Palms just as Little Archie is accompanying his father there on a trip. Thanks to the Mad Madam's prediction, Mad Doctor Doom is ready with a scheme to kill Little Archie, involving his flat-headed servant Slurch, a pizza-shaped surfboard, and a ravenous giant barracuda named "Big Barry."
