“Stampede!”

In "Stampede!", Little Archie finds himself on a magical adventure when a mysterious carpet arrives at the Andrews home. With the carpet’s eccentric creator, Abu Broadloombo—self-proclaimed "carpet-weaver extraordinary and pin-ball champion of all Persia"—at the helm, the flight takes an unexpected turn when Abu runs out of matches just as they soar over Africa, leaving their concentration—and the carpet’s flight—up in the air. Written, drawn, inked, and lettered by Bob Bolling, this whimsical tale features a vibrant cover by Dexter Taylor.

A magic carpet is accidentally delivered to the Andrews home. Little Archie winds up taking a ride on the carpet with its creator, Abu Broadloombo, "carpet-weaver extraordinary and pin-ball champion of all Persia." But Abu can only keep the carpet flying when he can concentrate, and he can't concentrate without a lighted cigar -- and he loses all his matches as they're flying over Africa.
