The fourth chapter of the "Samaritan" arc finds Thanos front and center on this 2004 Marvel cover, his massive fist surging forward with raw, unstoppable force. Flanking the purple-skinned Mad Titan are two formidable figures — a dark-haired young man to his left and a wild-maned, powerfully built warrior to his right — suggesting an uneasy alliance or tense confrontation in the making. Ron Lim's pencils and Al Milgrom's inks deliver a dynamic composition that captures the brooding intensity this series does so well.
