In "Bullet Trail," Tex Ritter works to clear an innocent man from trial while the Sheriff Drake stirs up cattle men by claiming a double killing. Tex discovers that Drake was actually responsible for the crimes and attempts to stop him from ambushing the cattle men, ultimately forcing Drake's hand in a confrontation. An old scout recounts how Tex once saved settlers' lives by using war drums to scare off attacking Injuns, and Tex pursues Drake and his gang across the desert terrain, eventually engaging them in gunfire to prevent further bloodshed.
